Today is the launch of the American Diabetes Association inaugural National Get Fit Don’t Sit Day! According to the American Diabetes Association research has determined that people spend an average of 5 hours and 41 minutes sitting at work each day. The Association recommends that all people get up and get move at least every 90 minutes.
Physical activity is necessary for good health and well-being. Limiting prolonged lengths of time spent sitting is helpful in preventing circulatory, musculoskeletal and other health issues.
